Profile: Introducing Auxillias Limited
Business partners Jo Davis and Daksha Mistry have launched Auxillias Limited – a law firm with a difference – to provide both legal and compliance services to their clients in the consumer, motor and asset finance sector as well as in the leasing/fleet sectors.
“Our clients have always expressed that they would like to be able to have legal and regulatory compliance support all in one place,” says Jo Davis, co-founder of Auxillias, “so our vision was to create a market leading bespoke legal and compliance firm bringing advisory, consultancy, regulatory and training support services to its clients, all under one roof.”
Auxillias has a real specialism within the Consumer Credit and FCA Financial services sector and was created specifically to support the consumer finance, motor finance, asset finance and leasing industries. It offers its clients the unique position of being able to combine the personal touch with the highest level of legal expertise in its specialist fields. And it has up-to-date practical experience of how to implement its legal and regulatory advice into a large number of banks and financial institutions.
Jo Davis, CEO and Partner, is well known to Leasing World readers, having provided regular legal columns for us for nine years. More importantly, she has a track record at Partner level, previously running the consumer and asset finance division in a top UK and then US legal firm. Her expertise ranges from consumer credit advisory and transactional matters, through to financial services regulation and compliance, including compliance with the FCA handbook and Consumer Credit Sourcebook implementation. She also assists clients and advises on contentious matters such as asset and motor finance asset recoveries, finance litigation and dispute resolution.
Daksha Mistry has worked within the Banking & Financial Services sector for more than twenty years, working for a number of major law firms in the UK, and also as an in-house solicitor at GE Capital. For the last seven years she has been a consultant, supporting a number of High Street Banks and Financial Institutions. She has also worked within the Asset Finance Energy Sector as a mediator for the Ombudsman Services.
Auxillias is currently building a team of qualified lawyers and specialist compliance consultants from legal, regulatory and industry backgrounds who also specialise in consumer, motor and asset finance. Jo Davis said, "We want our lawyers and consultants that work for Auxillias to have a high level of knowledge and experience working in this sector and we are proud of how far we have come already with building a strong team of advisors that we know work well with our clients."
