Corporate Responsibility.

Auxillias Limited is committed to maintaining the highest standards of corporate social responsibility in its business activities and dealings.  Our policy sets out how we, as a firm, act responsibly on both a corporate and an individual level.

The four key responsibility areas that we have identified are:

Our people and our workplace Our clients and our suppliers Our local communities Our local and global environment

Our people & our workplace

  • Our people are our most valuable asset and they are essential in enabling us to provide exceptional service to our clients. We want to attract, retain and develop people of the highest calibre. To achieve this we strive to recruit and promote our people exclusively on their abilities, thereby promoting equal opportunities and avoiding all forms of discrimination.

  • We recognise the need to continually develop and stretch our people and we commit to investing in the legal and professional skills of our people. All people are provided with access to internal and external training and development opportunities. Every one of our people has a Learning and Development review at least once a year.

  • We will take on trainees across and provide them with training contracts as and when we have identified a business need to do so.

  • We like to nurture new talent and we are happy to accept applications for work experience with us.

Our clients, customers & suppliers

  • We act for a wide variety of clients and we commit to trying to accommodate any specific client needs that may arise from sex, gender, disability, race, religion, beliefs, age or sexual orientation. Every member of the firm is expected to comply with this policy and any allegations of discrimination will be taken very seriously. Any client or supplier who has any queries about this should contact us.

  • We believe in establishing a personal relationship with all our clients to fully understand the exact details of their particular situation, their individual needs and personal preferences. This understanding combined with our reputation for discretion, sensitivity and pragmatism has created an environment where we build long term relationships with our clients.

  • To ensure that we deliver all our clients the service they expect we work to The Law Society Practice Management Standards. We have invested in systems and procedures in the firm to ensure all matters are handled efficiently.

Our local communities

  • We are committed to making a positive difference to the communities where we do business.

  • We are committed to respect the different cultures and rights of individuals and for that reason we have developed our Equality and Diversity Policy.

  • We are committed to assist where possible in the development of local community programmes and to work with local government, public and other appropriate stakeholders in assisting the community in the area where we practice.

Our local & global environment

  • We are committed to reduce our impact on the environment and promoting good environmental practice.

  • We are committed to investing in our IT systems as these can, when carefully managed, reduce our environmental impact. We have a case management system which we operate. This reduces our paper usage and file storage requirements. We actively encourage the use of email rather than postal service to assist in this area.

  • We already recycle our waste paper, but we are committed to reducing the amount of wastage. We continue to encourage our people to print double sided documents where practical and to adopt any other practices that will reduce waste.

  • We are a law firm and as such are subject to rigorous regulation by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (β€œSRA”). We are committed to following a risk-based approach to preventing money laundering and we operate a rigorous client identification and verification procedure in line with legislation.
