The Auxillias Academy extends offering with Robert Bell joining as a training consultant

Auxillias, the specialist law firm, today announced that Robert Bell has joined its team as a compliance and training consultant for the Auxillias Academy.  He will be primarily delivering a series of training programmes on important regulatory topics such as dealing with vulnerable customers and consumer duty training for clients, but broadening this scope as and when the need arises.

Robert is a law graduate with over 15 years of experience in financial services and has held both head of and director of compliance roles in the industry.  Currently a tutor for the level 6 apprenticeship in compliance and risk, he also provides support to companies on a range of financial services compliance and UK GDPR matters.  Robert was involved in developing the vulnerability guidance for the FCA and has also written guidance on behalf of the Money Advice Trust / UK Finance on vulnerability and GDPR.

Robert Bell commented: “I am thrilled to join Auxillias and look forward to contributing to its mission of delivering top-notch advice and training support. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a talented team and help clients navigate the complex landscape of financial services regulation.”

Auxillias opened its doors in 2000 and has developed into a highly-ranked legal and compliance firm.  Its services have expanded into consultancy and in 2023 the Auxillias Training Academy was launched to provide a wide range of face to face and online legal and business skills training designed for operations, compliance and legal professionals in lending and leasing firms.  The Academy is going from strength to strength and Auxillias now offers both core group training and creates bespoke courses for clients on important topics such as Consumer Duty and vulnerability.

Jo Davis, CEO, Auxillias, said: “Robert is a highly regarded financial compliance expert who has a proven track record of assisting firms through FCA and OFT authorisation. With his extensive background, he is a perfect fit for the Auxillias Academy team, particularly now that it is growing rapidly and demand for bespoke training is increasing. Many of our clients are already familiar with him as he has been a guest speaker at our Helping Hands events multiple times. Now they can access his expertise as and when they need to – especially for group training sessions when teams quickly need to be brought up to speed on market issues. His experience and insights will also be invaluable as a wider consultant under our consultancy services arm as we continue to support our clients in meeting their regulatory obligations and enhancing their compliance frameworks.”
