We developed solid experience of working in-house before we moved into private practice and still offer lawyers or compliance consultants on secondments and undertake consultancy arrangements; Supporting clients on site or remotely to deliver on their objectives and project plans. This combined team experience means we can deliver guidance that is specifically tailored to our clients’ aims and objectives, as well as strategically aligned to their business needs. This in turn means supporting them to get results – whether that be to increase sales, meet regulatory requirements, or to build strong operations, complaints management and collections or recoveries operations… ensuring at all times that they meet market conduct and good governance and controls.
Our Story
Auxillias was co-founded by - Joanne Davis and Daksha Mistry. The name Auxillias derived from the Latin word ‘auxiliaris’ which means ‘a helping hand and reinforcement’ and represents the services that we provide to our clients. This is reflected in our company logo and the standard that we aspire to with every client we work with.
As Directors and Shareholders of Auxillias we both have expertise in consumer credit, asset finance and motor. We have worked together for over 11 years but have known each other now for nearly 20 years and formed a solid knowledge-based team.
It has always been an ambition of ours to set up our own law firm, and over many years on the commute home from seeing clients, we would discuss how one day we would realise our dream and launch a firm of our own - build a business that is praised for its service excellence by our clients, and also build a firm where it is a nice place to work where we can invest in our people to continue running Auxillias when we eventually retire - which is quite a while away yet!
With thanks to our loyal client following, the dream has now been realised. Our clients have been included in our journey by understanding the services that they would like to see - so our service line has been built with them in mind. In particular, the need for a partner-led service; for legal, regulatory and compliance support under one umbrella plus the ability to call upon us to work in-house with them to complete projects and train their people.
