Treasury Consultation on Consumer Credit Reform

In early December, HM Treasury published “Reforming the Consumer Credit Act 1974: Consultation”.  Auxillias has considered the consultation paper and this whitepaper is a summary of our initial thoughts on the key points and possible ramifications

Download our white paper via the form below to find out details, including information on:

  • what the focus of the Consultation is

  • why firms should engage now

  • what the most significant proposed changes are from a market perspective

  • what other areas the Treasury is looking for feedback on

  • whether there are any specific sectoral considerations

  • the benefits and risks of reform

The deadline for responses is 27 March 2023.   If you would like to discuss the Consultation further, or are considering responding either directly or through an industry body, please get in touch.  We are considering producing a direct response to the consultation on behalf of our clients.

We can support you with understanding how the proposed reforms might impact your business and how to engage with the Consultation now so that your voice is heard.

When the final proposed reforms are crystallised we can work with you to assist the transition, including development of new documentation, policies and procedures and risk management.
